"Even though the holiday season here was quiet and not a lot of people celebrate Christmas it was still pretty good. We had a Christmas dinner at the senior couple house like I said and there were 10 of us there and we played some games and had a little gift exchange. It was a lot of fun because it sort of felt like Christmas. I can’t remember if I mentioned that on the 24th we also had dinner at an American member’s house and we sang tons of Christmas songs with their 3 little kids and actually had eggnog!! I miss eggnog so much, lol =). The mom gave us the recipe and we actually made a little ourselves on Christmas morning and it turned out pretty good. After I was finished talking to you on Christmas night we went to an Albanian member’s house and had more food with them. They live in a really small house but as soon as we walked in they had Christmas music and 8 chairs crammed around this small table in their only room with candles and lights all around. It left me speechless as we sat down and had a really nice dinner with this family. I felt those warm Christmas feeling that come from being with family on Christmas. Even though I’m thousands of miles away from all of you I feel so much a part of these peoples lives and they treat me like im their son. I just want you to know mom that you have nothing to worry about because im am in good hands =).

I cant believe im 23 tomorrow!! Im going to start getting grey hairs soon. Where does the time go? I don’t feel 23 and maybe that’s because I don’t act it =). What does a 23 years old act like anyways? Do I have to start being all proper and serious boring person now =). I don’t have any big plans for my b-day. Probably just street contacting in the morning with some lessons at night, lol =). I think there are like 3 different families that want me and my companion over tomorrow for my birthday so it will be interesting on how we work this out. 3 meals in one day is way to much. Maybe we can go to one for breakfast the next for lunch\dinner and then the next house or dessert or something =). This Saturday I find out if I get transferred to a new area or not. Next week you will get an email on Tuesday instead of Monday because we have 8 new elders coming in so it’s a big transfer and we chance or resting day to Tuesday. Im pretty excited to see where im going to go. I could become companions with someone from my own group which would be crazy. Since we have such a big group 10 of us will be with someone from our own group. The reason it’s crazy is because we have only been out for 3 months and we will already become senior companions or train. Usually you have at least 6 months until that happens. I actually hope that I get with someone from my group because I know it will only help my language. It will force me to try to understand and talk, even if I do teach some weird false doctrine the first month because I don’t understand thing =). It should make for a lot of awkward weird conversations with people =).

Well I don’t have that much more to say. Tonight at 7 we are going to a circus as a district which should be a blast. There are 8 of us in my district right now and this is our last p-day together so we decided to go to the circus. We have front row tickets and im pretty sure we can ride an elephant and have a picture with a bear. All of us are pretty excited. The circus is suppose to be pretty good. It’s the first time it is here in Albania and it’s an Italian circus but I don’t care if I cant understand anything. As long as there is cool stuff I can look and it’s entertaining."
