"I have a list of things so I will just go down my checklist and talk about all of them a little. First off a different elder came up and he is going to be DL in our area so that is a relief and some stress off me. I have a feeling I will get moved in February but then again I thought I was getting moved last transfer and I didn’t,lol. For a few days while we were waiting for the new DL to get to our area we were in a 3 pair with an Elder from France who has been here for about 3 weeks now. He speaks very little English and less Albanian. We went tracting with him for those 3 days and we had a lot of fun. One door approach we had him do in French and then I came in with Albanian and was said, “ Like my friend said we are 3 American boys here talking about our church,” it was funny. The cool thing was he let us in and he was really cool…Alright next thing on the check list. Not sure if mom should read this but owell if I wrote it only to you dad she would probably find out some way. So we tracted into a crazy meth house the other day and they people tried to invite us in and we were like ummmm actually we better not. Then he kept bother us so we just gave them a Book of Mormon and left. The only bad thing is that we pass the house everyday because it’s near the church. Luckily they are really nice guys and actually just talk to us a little about the church when we walk by now. It was still crazy when they opened the door and we saw like 8 guys and all this stuff in there house. We also had a kid pull a knife on us today. He tried scaring us and wanted our money but I just walked by like I didn’t understand and I was eyeing his knife just incase he got enough guts to come at me. A lot of the boys here are cowards though and would never us one. I promise to be safe so you don’t need to worry. If he made a harder effort to stop me I would have just gave him my money…On a more positive not we have an awesome new investigator this week. His name is Rrobert and he is about 70 years old and he has been coming to church for years and everyone thought he was a member but we found out last week he’s not baptized. I guess his wife passed away a few years ago and he is really lonely and lives alone because his kids are in Italy and America and he just loves the church. We met with him this week and it went really well. The crazy thing is that he walks about 35-45 minutes to church. When we walked with him home we did not realize how far he lived. He lived right in the middle of Tirana. It was an interesting site to see because the neighborhood im guessing looked like the ghetto hoods of the Bronx or something. If you imagine a world war 2 movie and a city just got bomb barded with cannons and all the buildings are torn apart, if you can imagine that then you can imagine what we were walking through. Never in my life would I have thought I would be somewhere like this. I’m so thankful for America and the lifestyle I have back home. I just cant imagine growing up here. Im thankful that I can do my part to help though and teach people about the gospel. I think Rrobert will be baptized within the next few months because he is beyond ready. I think he wants to get baptized on the day his wife passed away. It will be an awesome thing if it happens because even though a death can be sad, baptism and the teaching of the church bring a new hope after death. I have no doubt soon he will be baptized.... Alright I think that is all I have for this week."
